Why we Love Marquee Weddings at Foil
Many of our clients want to step away from the busy city and instead step into a rural paradise for their wedding; marquees give you total flexibility with your wedding location and often mean you can draw the celebrations out for a whole weekend (camping, anyone?).
Whilst they are by far the most complex to pull together, the end result of a marquee wedding planned by Foil is always a relaxed, beautiful countryside escape.
To perfect the planning, our couples often choose our 2 hour in-person planning session, to make sure all aspects and logistics are covered.

Jen & Eddie’s Summer Garden Marquee Wedding
Jen & Eddie’s wedding was the perfect blend of relaxed elegance and personal touches, set against the backdrop of their family home. Guests were welcomed with cocktails in the garden before gathering beneath the family’s centuries old oak tree for a heartfelt ceremony, led by celebrant Laura Gimson. The couple’s much-loved dogs even made an appearance for portraits.
There was a feast of fire-cooked BBQ, surrounded by lush summer florals that really brought the space to life. Celebrations continued into the evening, and guests settled into on-site glamping, making the most of this outdoor, under-the-stars setting. A wedding full of warmth, personality, and unforgettable moments.

Kalina + Freddie /// Private Marquee Wedding
"It is hard for me to express the value that Kate and her assistant added to our marquee wedding reception. In fact, I would say having a coordinator is a must have for a DIY style wedding. The team helped with everything from helping fix my dress when I had a mishap to pulling the marquee sides down when it got cold and everything in between. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!"
Our favourite Marquee Wedding Locations
The best thing about a marquee wedding? You can hold one pretty much anywhere!
We've been up and down the UK delivering marquee weddings in some seriously beautiful spots, from family gardens in the home counties to manor grounds in the west country and everywhere in between. Marquees are easily the most logistically challenging wedding to pull off, but that's probably why we love them so much, there's a special satisfaction in seeing an empty field transformed into a luxurious wedding venue.
By having so much flexibility with a marquee wedding, we've been lucky enough to help our clients make the best use of each unique location, like Jen and Eddie's garden marquee wedding, or Christina and Brian's family home which created a stunning backdrop for their marquee wedding. Similarly, we've loved visiting marquee wedding venues such as Hamswell House in the cotswolds for Juliet and Sam's wedding, with the guests starting the day sipping champagne in walled gardens before heading down to the marquee to party late into the night. The benefit of all that outdoor space: No neighbours to upset!
