Kate established Foil in 2017, launching with just two weddings under her belt (one of which was her own!)
Since then, she has delivered 75+ weddings across the UK, as well as partnering with venues both in London and Brighton to deliver exceptional weddings to discerning clients.
Her blended skills of creative design, precision logistics and confident leadership have lent themselves perfectly to building one of the UK's most popular wedding planning + coordination companies.
When she's not planning weddings, you'll find her keeping fit, enjoying a cosy pub lunch or exploring the Sussex countryside where she lives with her husband and two children.
Headed up by lead planner, Kate, we've grown from a party of one to a thriving team looking after 30+ weddings a year. From Marquees to Pubs, Warehouses to Country Estates and everywhere in between, each and every member of team Foil has the skills, knowledge and trademark personality to guarantee you have a wedding day to remember.
Shelly
Junior Wedding Planner
Shelly began her events career in Dorset, working under a nationally renowned Michelin chef, where she managed private dining, restaurant events and weddings.
From intimate dinners at the chef's home to larger celebrations in the restaurant, this experience shaped her love for thoughtful hosting and carefully curated guest experiences.
After moving to Australia, Shelly worked in corporate events and quickly built her skills, but soon realised her true passion lay in more personal celebrations where creativity and meaningful moments take centre stage.
Shelly later relocated to Brighton to be closer to the thriving London and Brighton events scene, focusing on weddings and private celebrations.
Outside of weddings, Shelly loves hosting themed dinner parties for friends and her cat, bringing people together over good food, great conversation and beautifully thought-out details.
Becky
Associate Wedding Planner
Becky has been working in events for over a decade, specialising in both large scale and private events, before taking the leap into the world of weddings in 2024.
Becky joined the Foil team in 2025, specialising in on the day coordination, her experience brings the perfect mix of creative flair, an eye for detail and unflappable energy.
Originally from Yorkshire, she now calls London home. She’s a big sport fan, who also loves the arts, especially musical theatre. So when she’s not watching either of those, you’ll find her on a beach, with a coffee in hand, ready for a wild swim.
